He declares that He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, He who is, He who was, and He who is to come. The Lion and the Lamb is a beautiful and emotional image as Jesus himself came to earth as the sacrificial lamb for all of humanity and yet at the same time, when He returns to the earth, He will return as the roaring lion who defeated death, hell and the grave.

The title "Alpha and Omega" signifies His all-encompassing presence, and it's a declaration that He is the beginning and the end, the source and the fulfillment of all things.
The imagery of the Lion and the Lamb encapsulates the multifaceted nature of Jesus Christ. As the Lion, He embodies strength, power, and kingship. This aspect highlights His authority and dominion over all things, symbolizing His role as the conquering Messiah who triumphs over sin, evil, death, hell and the grave.

The lamb imagery refers back to Old Testament sacrificial practices, foreshadowing Jesus' ultimate sacrifice on the cross for the redemption of humanity.
